Last of the Southern Loop

After Willcox, Chiricahua, Gleeson and Tombstone we finished the loop back to Tucson. Two primary stops along the way (excluding the bird watching reported earlier). First a visit to Coronado National Memorial. This is the worlds largest memorial to an individual. The highlight is the view at right which is of the San Pedro River valley, the route that Coronado took north when he explored the Southwest and as far north as Kansas. Not much to it except the ride to the top, dirt road carved from the mountainside with straight drop offs.

Then we visited Bisbee, an old copper mining town. When the mines closed, it became an artists colony. We had a great dinner at Cafe ROKA, and met some of the locals:

Yep, thats a cat riding on the dog. And yes again, thats a rat riding on the cat riding on the dog. You should have seen their owner!
