After 15 years in the office I convinced the corner office (OK its the middle office in our place) to allow me an extended break. I have always thought I would love to go on a road trip; get up each morning without a clue where I would end up that evening or what I would do with the day. Well, this is my chance.
So what am I taking? A camera, a tent, a few books and a computer. What do I want to accomplish? Plenty of pictures, some good relaxing, a Santa Fe Workshops photography class, and a freshly designed web site. Challenges faced? Well I don't have 8 weeks of boxer shorts. In fact I don't even have 4 weeks worth that I could turn inside out. So laundry soap might be wise. Other challenges? High temps of 28 degrees and lows in the teens, make the tent a rather chilly option. On the brighter side, the ice in my cooler won't melt very fast.
And finally ... can I really stay away from home for 8 weeks?
My itinerary is at the left and links to a number of National Parks I may visit are there also. So lets enjoy the journey.

Mr. Bill,
The auto notify section (post atoms) is not working for me,
however, since I know you will be
posting at least weekly, I will
check in on you in your travels.
Thanks for the updates. All the
places look like great areas to
visit. Keep in touch. Don
