The real reason for the Desert Museum stop is that they have a hummingbird aviary. Currently it only has four species of hummers but it is constant ducking and dodging as they whirl around. This time of year several were sitting on or building nests. This place is a real hoot! I have attached pictures of some of my new buddies.
I had to confess to Pam that I had eaten at El Charro. It is one of two of our favorite restaurants in Tucson. The other is Cafe Poca Cosa. El Charro's Carne Seco is dried
beef and was selected as one of the 50 best plates in the US by USA Today.

After that a straight shot to Lordsburg.
Tomorrow, Gila Cliff Dwellings.
