He's back...

Hi folks, finally seem to have mostly kicked the cold and cough and very kindly shared it with Pam. At least now I can begin to catch you up with my travels and pictures.

While in Sedona we stayed at the Amara Resort. A 4 star resort doing its darndest to become a 3 star. Of course it didn't help that I was basically holed up in the room for three days self medicating. If it could go wrong at this hotel, it probably did; wrong room type from that reserved, promised a move in a couple hours that took all day, three days of increasingly unique service in the restaurant, blah, blah, blah. Thank goodness we have a sense of humor.

In any case, off we went. We will be back. Sedona is a beautiful place, just not back to the Amara. The evening before we left I finally felt up to going out and attempting some sunset pictures. They are attached.
After leaving Sedona we headed to two National Monuments in the area, Toozigoot and Montezuma Castle. Both were fascinating examples of puebloan life. Monetazuma Castle is remarkably well preserved.
A caution however, one must keep their eyes out for some of the natives who I happened to catch a picture of at left. They can easily lead on astray if you are not attentive. Check here for pics of the two places.

So finally, back on track. Check out tomorrow as we head to Chiricahua NM and Tombstone, home of the OK Corral.
